Christine is Co-founder, President and Executive Director. She worked as office manager for her brother’s home remodeling company for the past 7 years. She recently resigned to focus on developing Thrive Academy. She and her husband Patrick have two children. Jack is 21 years old and has Autism and an Intellectual Disability. Jayne is 18 and will be heading off to the University of Iowa in Fall 2021. After Jack’s senior year, he simply refused to return and participate in the Senior Plus Program. There was no changing his mind! Unfortunately, Christine and her husband were less than impressed after touring several day habilitation programs and Jack was very happy to remain at home watching YouTube. Typical high school graduates have a multitude of choices including employment, community colleges, universities, and trade schools. She feels transition-aged individuals with intellectual disabilities deserve more post high school options! She also served on the Education Committee on the Board of Autism Society of Iowa for 5 years. Christine is an active member and volunteer at her parish, St Francis of Assisi.

Lisa is Co-founder and Vice President. She has been a stay-at-home Mom for over twenty-two years. She has volunteered with Junior League of Des Moines, her childrens’ schools, St. Francis of Assisi Church, GiGi’s Playhouse of Des Moines, and AHeinz57 Pet Rescue and Transport. Her third son, Sam, is 18 years old. He has Autism and Down syndrome. She and her husband, Mike, have seven children through their blended families. She also has two dogs and two cats.

Jamie was honored to be asked to join Christine and Lisa on the mission of Thrive Academy. She has a total of over 25 years experience in the Human Services arena. She has been a case manager with ChildServe for over 15 years. She loves the families and individuals she serves. Jamie graduated from Buena Vista University double majoring in Psychology and Human Services.
